Sony has just announced the next upgrade for your PS5 that comes with a huge price tag of MSRP 699.99USD alongside some questionable decisions from their side such as minimal upgrades with very little information on how the games will actually run on the console which make this announcement feels very lacking. But PlayStation has promised to give more details in the upcoming months leading to the launch date, hopefully we get to see more during the Tokyo Game Show 2024 that Sony will be participating in.

There are a couple of things that stood out, not the design because it is very similar to the original PS5, particularly the increase of storage size which is one of the best upgrade due to games being astronomically large now. But most of the feedbacks, at least on the social media platforms, have voiced out their concerns about it being not as good of an upgrade as paying 700$ for a home console.
PS5 Pro will also only available in a disc-less format because game preservation is extinct and not as valuable to the shareholders but luckily (or unluckily) you can buy the disc drive separately, but it is best to act quick as a bunch of scalpers are currently bulk purchase the disc drive from retailers and online stores to mark it up the price later on.
