Performance Issue

Stuttering and Low Framerates is one of the issues that being mentioned quite a lot of times! And for a game that requires precision and mobility over the battlefield at every turn, while battling bosses 10 times your size, it is a very valid reason to dislike the DLC, at least until the team at FromSoftware fixed them.

Bare And Empty Map

Exploration is another thing the base game excel but fall a bit flat in the DLC with bare and empty maps, making the joy of exploring the vast beautiful landscape a-not-so rewarding experience, aside from being aesthetically pleasing all the way through. But I mostly think this is a subjective matter as I love just immerse myself in this gorgeous expansion, albeit with little to no reward because that is quite frankly not my goal of exploring, but that’s just me.

Difficulty Spike And Unsatisfying Boss Fight

Now this one is a reach! It’s a Soulsborne game, it’s supposed to be hard! However, I do admit that sometimes enemies have so much health and damage which makes them annoying, but not hard, more so the ranged ones. It’s a slog. The bosses designs are quite unique and fun to learn (by dying over and over and over) but those flurry of attacks and erratic behavior are quite challenging at first but after a couple of however many times, you can read them like a book. A huge bloodied and grotesque book.
